ARE YOU A KEYBOARD WARRIOR?

internet have so many terms which can be used on certain cases and situations. but i like this one as ive seen it almost everyday. people went rage on the internet, whining, complaining and visualizing their frustrations in words. and it was just the usual boring afternoon when shuk came to my house for iftar. i asked him for a quick photoshoot just behind my house. he agreed with dominos pizzas in return tho for the iftar. so i immediately bought some pizzas, and headed straight to the backyard area. got a few shots before we were caught in the rain. suddenly poured.

well each day on the internet, we might stumble across these type of people. where communication has evolved in many ways including expression of anger. some maybe forget about the importance of FTF in regarding of the booming of internet and social networks. so here are some fact the leads to KEYBOARD WARRIOR behavior. :P

1. A Person who, being unable to express his anger through physical violence (owning to their physical weakness, lack of bravery and/or conviction in real life), instead manifests said emotions through the text-based medium of the internet, usually in the form of aggressive writing that the Keyboard Warrior would not (for reasons previously mentioned) be able to give form to in real life.

2. The term is a combination of the word 'keyboard' (the main tool by which the person expresses his/her latent rage) and 'warrior' (due to the warrior-like aggression, tendency towards violence, headstrong nature and propensity towards brute force as a means of resolving conflict rather than more subtle means dependant on finesse).

3. The Keyboard Warrior seeks to use the power imbued in his 'weapon' to effect death and destruction (in a strictly-metaphorical sense) upon his foes (other virtual identities he has encountered on the internet). In essence, the keyboard (ie. text input ability) allows the keyboard warrior to manifest his true warrior nature in a safe and removed environment, from which no real-life repercussions .

4. Keyboard Warriors are generally identified by unneccessary rage in their written communications, and are regarded as 'losers' by other virtual identities on the internet.

footnote: shuk is not a keyboard warrior, but he loves ice cream. (look at his shirt) :)

1. with ramadan was just around the corner, this reception is my final assignment so no wedding for a month except hari raya's photoshoot. besides, i got to complete my albums too. :)

2. uchee and owen are my friends too. ok i know, maybe u started to think that my blog is frequently about me and my friends. but as u know it, im not a big time photographer who promotes about his service here and there. so most of my clients are friends or friend of a friend. furthermore, its easier for me to control my work as in quality wise.

3. correcto mundo. i prefer have small assignment frequency rather than having alot but couldnt keep up with good photos and designs. yepp. speaking of expanding, it is still under alot of proper planning and gathering manpower. InsyaAllah im gonna do it tho. :)

4. back to uchee and owen, their solemnization held last year and they havent got the perfect time for a reception because of work overload. if you guys remember Tudung Ekspress in my older post, yes owen works with flimscape production. pretty bz.

5. we made a slight twist for the outdoor session in accordance with the dress. so dont be surprised. warning. may not look as wedding photos. hahaha. honestly i dont know if u read this before u go straight to those pics. anyways. enjoy. :)

SELAMAT BERPUASA!!

ramadhan 31st July 2011. sundown near my place. (shot using my phone)

Its already the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. we all should know that, Islam uses a lunar calendar-that determines festive dates in the Islamic calendar. Months alternate between 29 and 30 days. This results in a year 354 days long (29.5 x 12 = 354), roughly 11 days short of the solar year. Thus, Muslim festival dates, compared to the Gregorian calendar, vary from year to year.

The migration (Hijra, HIJ-rah) of the prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina (A.D. 622) begins the Islamic calendar. The Islamic year A.H. 1417, for example, begins on 18 May 1996 on the Gregorian calendar.

Because the lunar calendar is about 11 days shorter than the solar calendar used elsewhere, Islamic holidays "move" each year. so this time in 2011, Ramadan begins at sundown on July 31st.

ok guys, here are some quick facts about ramadan:

1. Observing the fourth pillar of Islam has been prescribed during this month, and it is one of the best means by which a person attains piety and forgiveness of sins.

2. The first revelation of the Qur'an as guidance for humanity was given to the Prophet (peace be upon him) during this month.

3. The sunnah of performing the tarawih prayer is observed during this month.

4. The great battle of Badr between the Muslims and the unbelievers took place during Ramadan in the second year of the Hijrah.

5. The Muslims re-entered Makkah victorious during Ramadan in the eighth year of the Hijrah. After this conquest people began to enter the fold of Islam in multitudes, and Makkah became free of polytheism and evil.

Benefits from Ramadan

1. It strengthens one's ties with Allah and trains the soul to observe duties of devotion in accordance with the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

2. It enforces patience and determination in the Muslim individual.

3. It promotes the principle of sincerity by keeping the Muslim away from arrogance and showing off, since it is an act between the individual and his Creator.

4. It promotes good character, particularly truthfulness and trust-worthiness.

5. It encourages the Muslim to do away with bad habits and change his/her circumstances for the better.

6. It enhances generosity, hospitality, and spending on charitable causes.

7. It reinforces feelings of unity and brotherhood among Muslims.

8. It instills orderliness and close observance of the value of time.

9. It serves as an opportunity for children to perform acts of obedience and to practice Islamic acts of worship.

10. It offers a chance to balance one's attention to both physical and spiritual needs.
